Art Mystery ----- The Virgin of the Rocks
The Virgin of the Rocks (c. 1483-86) painted by Leonardo Da vinci and two local artists (the Predis brothers), in the church of San Fransesco Grande , now in Louvre museum, Paris. This painting was originally meant for the church but due to some disputes it was later sold . Later another version was painted supposdly by davinci himself which embellish in the church later moved to National Gallarie, London. left: louvre version, right: london version On a first glimpse both luks almost identical however there are differences in both pics. Just like "Find the difference" games in newspapers. There are many mysteries shrouds over the former and later versions which had been pointed out by decoders. This painting was also referred by Dan Brown in his novel "Davinci code". As in the former version(louvre) leonardo wasn't in the mood to depict Mother Mary and Jhon the Baptist as angels. Why?
